Tokenomics
Every economy requires currency in order to function. Throughout history, currency has been anything from coins, to sea shells, and so much more. In the Web3 world, currency exists in the form of ERC-20 tokens, and in The Pixlverse, that token is $PIXL.
$PIXL is the utility token that powers the entire Pixlverse. Without a medium of exchange to transact value with, the concept of Play & Earn would not be feasible. Thus, Tokenomics are not something we take lightly. Teams often release tokens because it is the "trendy" thing to do, with no long-term vision on how to balance inflation, scale, avoid exploits and manage the need to get currency into the hands of an expanding user base.
A token needs Value accrual in order to be sustainable. IE: the token must have a positive feedback mechanism that continues to return value inside of an ecosystem. Most tokens today have zero value accrual, and platforms and protocols often have impressive functionality with a token that slowly trends to nothing.
Various levers have been designed that will focus on continual accrual of economic activity. This accrual mechanism will feedback to not only $PIXL users, but seals, pets and so much more. These levers will also allow the team to adjust the token economy in the case of unforseen circumstances.
Balancing multiple tokens inside an ecosystem can be a daunting task. But just like the real world, as players travel to different locations and hubs, there may be scenarios where native tokens from other projects have minor utility, or synergy, with the $PIXL token itself. The team is dedicated to making sure that the $PIXL token ecosystem does not respond negatively to a system like this, however the door is open for collaborative elements.
